FINNEAS Releases New Song “College”
FINNEAS shows off his various talents with new song “College”. Is there anything he can’t do?
Finneas O’Connell is a very busy person. He writes and produces music for himself, and he helps write, produce, and tour with his sister, Billie Eilish. Finneas was born in the heart of a booming music industry, Los Angeles. His career started there and is still based there, which comes as no surprise.
He released one song in 2016 and one in 2017, but this year he has truly launched his project. In this year alone, he has released five singles, the fifth released today. His song “Break My Heart Again” has nearly 2 million streams on Spotify.
Today, Finneas released his next single, “College”. The lyrics of this song describe some of the most challenging times of your teenage years, one; go to college. Two; break up with your significant other before or during college. Three; post break up, the feelings and process it comes with. It truly represents a transitional part of your life. This is the song you hear when you’re packing up your bags, or flying in a plane. Finneas focused on multiple aspects of the particular transition to opening a new doors. Beyond the lyrics and the message, the beat and vocals paired together is oddly calming. You listen to it twice just to hear the soothing sounds again. If you’ve heard of Finneas but haven’t listened to his stuff, start with “College”, and I guarantee you won’t stop there.
